Just a few years ago Le Fanu Cottage was a crumbling ruin, but now this heritage listed home in the exclusive ocean side suburb of Cottesloe has been spectacularly restored to its former glory thanks to Perth custom homes builder Zorzi Builders.

Restoring such a landmark and historically important home is no easy task, and considering the state of disrepair that the home was in, Zorzi have done a truly remarkable job.

Working in conjunction with Ian Hocking & the team at Hocking Heritage Studio, The State Heritage Council MMA Interiors and the Town Of Cottesloe, the 1895 built Federation Queen Anne style home has been elegantly brought back to what it would have looked like in its prime, benefitting from some more modern additions that are still in keeping with the significant heritage value of the home.

Original limestone walls were restored using locally sourced materials and where possible original ceilings and ceiling roses were restored too, with replicas added to the new extension to the home. Everything has a highly luxurious yet period feel, from the detailed cabinetry in the kitchen bathrooms and living rooms, to the jarrah flooring that was traditionally used at the time Le Fanu was originally constructed. In addition to the jarrah flooring extensive use of marble adds to the opulence of the home and includes a feature Le Fanu script at the homes entrance.

The home now features five luxuriously appointed bedrooms with bathrooms and custom built cabinetry. Chandeliers adorn almost every ceiling, and original fireplaces bring warmth to many of the rooms. Outside the grounds have three water features and salt tolerant architectural landscaping, and there is an underground garage.
