Classic Country

Recently completed by the expert team at Privium Homes, this project incorporates classic style and sophistication into a functional and spacious family home. Situated an hour outside of Brisbane in the semi-rural area of Kalkan, the quaint exterior of the home has classic country appeal and sets the tone for what’s inside.

With four bedrooms, two-and-a-half bathrooms, a combined living area, as well as separate rumpus, study and media rooms, this home offers everyone a place of their own to work, play or relax.

Beyond the front door, the entryway is bright and inviting, and the long hallway beckons you through to the home’s central hub. Just off the entry, the master suite has been kept private from the rest of the house. The suite features a large walk-in robe and an ensuite with a double vanity and twin shower heads. The ensuite itself is finished with bright tiling and cabinetry, contrasted against black tap ware and printed floor tiles that bring touches of modernity and luxury to the room.

At the end of the hallway lies the heart of the home – a combined kitchen, meals and living area, with additional rumpus and media rooms attached. This central area is appointed with classic finishes that make the most of the room’s natural light which is supplied by large windows, sliding glass doors and the skylight over the dining table.

The kitchen is the standout feature here. White cabinetry adorns the rear wall, and workspace is provided by a long island with integrated breakfast bar. High quality appliances complete the fit out, including a six-burner gas stove and oven with integrated wok burner. For storage, a large butler’s pantry adjoins the area and features floor to ceiling shelving, space for an additional refrigerator and extra cabinets with counter space for small appliances.

Tucked away behind the combined living area are the home’s main bathroom and remaining bedrooms, offering plenty of privacy for the whole family. The bathroom here has been completed with the same combination of bright tiling and cabinets with black tapware and hardware to contrast. Each bedroom is well-sized and fitted with a lush stone-coloured carpet that is both comfortable and inviting.

All throughout, our designers included high quality features and modern details that provide moments of luxury without sacrificing the appeal of a functional and affordable family home.
