The first new home he ever worked on was in Pacific Paradise, Sunshine Coast, the land cost $7000 and had to be filled about a metre to comply with minimum flood zone requirements.
The entire house would now fit into the kitchen and dining area of what he tends to build today muses Steve, ‘I have never forgotten the satisfaction of turning a vacant block of land or an old dilapidated home into something very different and new.
Each member of the small team at Luxury Coastal Homes have a minimum of twenty years experience in the residential construction field, which allows Steve to keep a tight reign on quality and focus on working directly with clients to achieve special spaces they love to call home.
He strongly believes that allowing clients to have input and be involved at every stage of the build via regular progress updates helps give LCH clients peace of mind during construction. Steve says direct interaction between the owner of the business and the client is something that’s often lacking in the industry.
‘I have worked in a few different areas since my early years straight out of school, mostly property centric and I believe having a diversified range of experiences helps me relate to clients of all different backgrounds, absolute integrity and honesty during the builds has built a strong reputation amongst some very highly regarded consultants, industry professionals and previous client’s alike’.
