Situated on an expansive 800 sqm property with sweeping city views, this Brisbane home has been masterfully transformed into a modern sanctuary by the award-winning team at Style Kitchens by Design. Spearheaded by founder and head designer Stuart May, the renovation is a perfect example of how custom craftsmanship and thoughtful design can completely reimagine spaces and tailor home interiors to the lifestyle and the personality of the owners.

From the moment you enter the home, it’s clear that this project is far more than just a kitchen revamp. Style Kitchens by Design were entrusted with the design, supply, and installation of cabinetry and stone finishes throughout nearly every corner of the property – including the kitchen, pantry, bathrooms, wardrobes, TV units, cellar, studio, garage, and even the external guest house.

With a creative and musically-inclined homeowner – evidenced by an impressive collection of speakers and nods to the Blues Brothers subtly worked into the décor, the design brief called for individuality, flair, and function. Premium appliances, including a Siemens dishwasher, Fisher & Paykel fridge, Neff cooktop, and Falmec rangehood, complete a chef-worthy setup that’s as sleek as it is efficient.

In the lounge, custom cabinetry is elevated with brass mesh inserts, a subtle touch that blends sophistication with a tactile nod to vintage audio equipment and the homeowner’s musical passions. The dining area stuns with solid timber shelves crafted in an unexpected spherical shape, proving that functional storage can also be a striking design statement. Unique feature walls, including sculptural “spherical” shelving in the dining area, further illustrate the team’s commitment to one-of-a-kind design.

The master suite continues this theme of luxury-meets-personality, with a bespoke walk-in robe and ensuite, both featuring custom vanities illuminated with LED lighting. Other bedrooms are fitted with matching wardrobes, unifying the design across the home while allowing each space its own identity. Bathrooms throughout the property mirror the master ensuite’s attention to detail and lighting innovation.

This level of detail even extends to the garage, studio, and guest house – areas often overlooked in many renovations but here treated with the same care and creativity as the main living spaces.
