A Perth Design Event Celebrating Kitchens and Conversation
On an evening when the calendar was already full and the temptation to head straight home after a long day was strong, stepping into the Seaform / Lifewood showroom in Osborne Park proved to be a far better idea. As Perth design events go, this one had all the right ingredients.
Guests arriving at the beautifully curated space were welcomed with Limoncello Spritz cocktails in hand signaling the kind of effortless start that immediately shifts the mood from workday to something far more enjoyable. The event, hosted by Custom Homes in collaboration with Swiss luxury appliance manufacturer V-ZUG and renowned kitchen designers Seaform, brought together architects, designers, industry professionals and clients for an evening that blended great food, conversation and exceptional design.
With ambient entertainers setting the tone in the background, guests moved through the showroom, exploring Seaform’s extraordinary European kitchens while reconnecting with familiar faces and meeting new ones. Trays of freshly shucked oysters, prawns and an array of seafood circulated throughout the space, alongside a steady flow of canapés and other delicious dishes – creating a banquet that felt more like a luxury occasion than an informal networking event.
Seaform’s showroom provided the perfect backdrop for the evening. Known for its beautifully crafted European kitchens, the displays allowed guests to experience first-hand the level of detail, material selection and design refinement that goes into each project. Walking through the space, it was easy to imagine how these kitchens become the heart of the homes they are designed for and are the perfect space to host a Perth design event like this.
Throughout the evening, guests were also introduced to the technology behind V-ZUG’s appliances, with demonstrations highlighting the brand’s sophisticated steam cooking systems. Long respected for its precision engineering and understated design, V-ZUG continues to set the benchmark for luxury kitchen appliances, particularly in homes where both performance and aesthetics matter equally.
While the evening celebrated kitchens and culinary innovation, it also provided the perfect opportunity to unveil something special from Custom Homes. Guests were invited to browse the latest edition of the Custom Homes Western Australia Luxury Homes Yearbook – a commemorative 20th Anniversary collector’s edition produced to mark two decades of showcasing some of the country’s most exceptional homes. The new edition features a striking cover created by iconic Australian artist David Bromley and has been produced as a premium lay-flat coffee table book, designed to be enjoyed not just as a publication, but as a visual celebration of architecture, design and craftsmanship.
Copies of the yearbook circulated throughout the showroom as guests paused between conversations to turn the pages, discovering award-winning homes and the remarkable talent shaping luxury residential design across Australia.
Events like this highlight the shared values between Custom Homes, Seaform and V-ZUG – a passion for craftsmanship, innovation and the role great design plays in everyday living.
And judging by the conversations still flowing well into the evening, it was clearly a night well worth stepping out for.
