Stephen Akehurst, one of Australia’s most respected residential designers, has created elegant houses for more than three decades, inspired by classical traditions yet sensitively attuned to their urban, coastal, or rural settings, are marked by enduring quality and a quiet authority that continues to influence Australian residential design.
Sebastian Owen, an architect whose career spans luxury residential, commercial and recreational sectors both in Australia and abroad. Having honed his skills through carpentry, international practice in Berlin, Amsterdam and Paris, and mentorship under some of Australia’s most iconic architects, Sebastian brings a collaborative, holistic design approach that unites planning, architecture, interiors, and landscape.
Adding to this breadth, Marco Cimino draws on his Italian heritage and formal training at the Politecnico di Torino, merging European principles of classical design with the realities of contemporary Australian living. His early career in heritage and conservation, combined with hands on experience in high end residential construction, gives him a refined understanding of materials, detail, and the building process.
Together the partners guide a practice known for its finely crafted residences and its capacity to deliver projects of scale and complexity from grand family homes to equestrian and recreational facilities, townhouses, and apartments.
