Built by St Andrews Constructions, the exceptional 650sqm residence has now added a major industry accolade to its story, taking out the 2026 BUSSQ Building Super President’s Award at the Master Builders Queensland Sunshine Coast Housing & Construction Awards. Opening to the canal, the breeze and soft Queensland light, BABYLON pairs laid-back Noosa living with a much richer, more atmospheric interior experience after dark.

Anchored by a robust blockwork and concrete structure, the house immediately commands attention, but materiality softens its form. Natural crazy-pave, face brick, and thermally treated hemlock wrap the exterior in warm, tactile layers. Inside, the palette becomes even more inviting with oak wall cladding, breezeway brick, Venetian plaster, and natural stone tiles combined with intentional greenery that softens the architecture and brings a subtle softness to the concrete.

Across two levels and a basement, the home unfolds through a series of beautifully appointed spaces that include 4 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms, 2 media rooms, a steam room, cold room, thermally controlled wine cellar and a generous living spaces including alfresco kitchen that spills out to the pool and spa. The canal becomes part of the backdrop, with the house opening wide during the day to feel airy, spacious and deeply connected to the outdoors.

It was also an especially successful night for the family-run St Andrews Constructions team, with Niamh Johnstone named winner of the Women in Building Award. The judges recognised the young project manager for her knowledge, her work across multiple high-end residential projects and her commitment to mentoring others in the industry.
