Founded in 2004 by Owen and Cassandra Inglis, Sidewood remains proudly family-owned. Care for the environment is central to our philosophy, recognising that great wine begins in the vineyard. This commitment has seen Sidewood recognised as the Adelaide Hills’ largest certified sustainable producer, holding Winegrowing Australia accreditation. With 110 hectares of premium vineyards and a stateof-the-art winery on site, our dedication from grape to glass has earned accolades across our range, including the prestigious James Halliday ‘5 Red Star Winery’ rating.
Just 25 minutes from the Adelaide CBD, our Cellar Door and restaurant sit in the heart of Hahndorf. Here, hospitality is approached with the same care as our wines. Guests are guided through personalised tastings before enjoying seasonal dishes in our restaurant, surrounded by an ever-evolving collection of contemporary art.
BEST WINES TO CELLAR
Mappinga Shiraz 2018 – $65 per bottle
Complex, rich aromas of dark chocolate, plum and spice compliment the dense palate of fresh blackberry, star anise, and white pepper flavours. A powerful but seamlessly balanced coolclimate Shiraz with lingering, leathery tannins. A benchmark of Adelaide Hills Shiraz with the ability to cellar for over 15 years.
Sidewood Sauvignon Blanc 2025 – $26 per bottle
This wine displays vibrant aromas of passionfruit, citrus blossom, and lime zest, which carry seamlessly onto the palate. A zippy acidity provides excellent length and a refreshing finish.
Sidewood Sparkling NV – $26 per bottle
With a blend of 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Chardonnay, the bouquet offers delightful, lifted aromas of strawberry, lemon citrus and underlying notes of biscotti. The palate is elegant and well integrated, displaying intense strawberry, nectarine and cashew characters enhanced by partial malolactic fermentation and extended time on yeast lees. The natural acidity provides excellent structure and finesse, with an excellent mouth-watering citrus and nougat finish.
