Contemporary materials were carefully curated to achieve a sense of space, movement and generous tactility. Rectified glazed porcelain tiles in a warm grey, solid timber stair treads and sumptuous wool carpets were chosen for the flooring, setting the mood for the entire home and creating the perfect palette for the vertical surface materials. Naked walls were not an option for the client, so La Vie designed ‘Living Walls’ incorporating a variety of textural finishes and functional elements including feature timber cladding, sleek, custom-made cabinetry and a feature fireplace finished in luxurious large format porcelain slabs.
Despite the apartment being quite narrow, thanks to a floorplan that has been carefully calculated and expertly planned to the mm, the home feels spacious and open, reflecting the vastness of the ocean beyond, whilst still feeling cosy and inviting thanks to a variety of organic elements and a warm palette of rust and gold.
Epitomising style and functionality the kitchen incorporates a butler’s kitchen to hide away dinner party preparations,chef’s desking area and a champagne dispensing bar. Finished with a striking contemporary light fixture and bronzed mirror to the island bench, the space becomes a glamorous area to entertain guests in style.
