The open plan area focused solely on the kitchen, with one wall being removed to optimise the available space.
The client’s vision was clear and their main objective was to create a modern, sleek kitchen that maintains a welcoming atmosphere suitable for the family, without compromising on functionality or aesthetics. Brightwood Design embraced this vision and guided the client through a detailed design process. The choice of materials played a crucial role in achieving the desired look and feel. The design team recommended hardy materials, ensuring durability without sacrificing the modern style.
Key elements of the renovation include stone benchtops, which provide both practicality and visual appeal as well as a touch of luxury. Adding warmth to the space, the timber cabinetry offers a striking contrast to the benchtops, creating texture and depth to the overall design. Decorative timber panelling installed underneath the benchtop add to the character of the space whilst harmonsing with the cabinetry and the hardwood flooring.
To enhance the modern aesthetic, the kitchen features LED underlit cupboards, adding a subtle yet impactful lighting effect, and quality internal cupboard door hardware, a cohesive look with black architectural elements matching the sink, taps, and appliances.
