Hunter Valey
Originally known as Sweetwater Station, the Sweetwater estate had its first vineyards planted way back in the mid1800s. A replanting effort took place in 1998, resulting in the establishment of outstanding semillon, shiraz, and cabernet sauvignon vineyards. Under current owner Sam Arnaout who took over the estate in 2016, award-winning winemaker Bryan Currie has repeatedly demonstrated his expertise, consistently yielding triumphs at both national and international wine shows. With unwavering dedication, Currie’s team tirelessly works to spotlight the distinctive terroir and heritage vines of the Hunter Valley.
Now celebrating 25 years of producing excellence, and with a distinguished five-star winery rating from the Halliday Wine Companion, Sweetwater enjoys an enviable reputation as one of the Hunter Valley’s finest premium producers and continues in their pursuit of creating fine wines of distinction.

2007 Shiraz – $120 per bottle
The 2007 vintage enjoyed warm summer conditions, perfect for maturing rich ripe Shiraz. The end result is generous blackberry & plum with “Hunter” savoury characters of spice and earth, balanced carefully with 60% American & 40% French oak management. This wine has luscious primary fruit and a great tannin structure to ensure it will age gracefully and reward the patient few.
2010 Cabernet Sauvignon – $120 per bottle

2021 Shiraz Cabernet – $70 per bottle
The 2021 Sweetwater Estate Shiraz and Cabernet blocks were picked over the course of several days in February. The 2021 vintage resulted in beautifully ripe and dynamic fruit. Deep red with plum, blackberry, sage and cassis aromas with fine grained tannins.
