A fresh coastal feel sets the tone for this Noosaville renovation, with custom joinery and interior design by Gull Design shaping the transformation. Working alongside Robillaird Building, the team reworked the layout of a compact unit in the heart of Noosa, opening the interiors to feel brighter, more connected and far more generous in how each space is used. The direction is simple: a modern coastal home built around warmth, texture and a relaxed sense of ease.

The brief focused on turning the apartment into a calm, inviting home. Gull Design handled both the interior design and joinery, ensuring everything feels consistent from one space to the next. A palette of soft neutrals is layered with warm timbers and gentle textures, giving the home depth without relying on heavy contrast. Natural light now moves more freely through the apartment, lifting the overall feel and enhancing the finishes.

Joinery plays a key role throughout the home. Rather than feeling like an add-on, it has been designed as part of the space itself. Storage is practical and well integrated, while the detailing remains clean and simple, allowing the materials to speak for themselves. The result is a layout that feels far more open and easy to move through.

The kitchen stands out as a central feature. A curved, vertically stacked tiled rangehood creates a soft focal point, moving away from a typical flat wall and adding shape to the space. A timber shelf, paired with lighting on either side, introduces warmth and makes this area feel more like part of the living area rather than a separate workspace. Beautiful tapware which ties in with the curves and finishes and adding a consistent touch across the home and ABI Interiors sink give it the kitchen long life quality.

In the bathrooms, the approach is clean and understated. Large format tiles keep the look simple and uncluttered, while walk-in shower with oversized rainfall shower head and ABI Interiors tapware bring a sense of everyday comfort. Timber elements soften the harder surfaces, and oval mirrors introduce a gentle curve that breaks up the straight lines. Louvered windows have been included to improve airflow and allow for better control of natural light, an important detail for coastal living.

Throughout this Noosaville renovation, there is a strong sense of balance. Nothing feels overdone, yet every part of the home has been carefully thought through. It’s a project that focuses on how the space feels to live in day to day, with small decisions adding up to a home that feels relaxed, functional and easy to enjoy.
