At an exclusive, private exhibition recently hosted by Monika Tu at her luxurious Sydney residence, discerning collectors and art enthusiasts were given an opportunity to completely immerse themselves in the art of renowned artist David Bromley. Monika’s spectacular 5 level residence was transformed into a stunning gallery, showcasing an impressive collection of Bromley’s work from his whimsical children series right through to the iconic nudes that have gained him worldwide recognition.

Over 50 of David’s paintings and sculptures were on display and available for guests to purchase, including a collection of table top maquettes and large scale bronze garden sculptures, blasting Monika’s refined and elegant residence that with bold, vibrant colour.

As queen of Australia’s luxury property market, Tu is well known for her penchant for luxury and her discerning eye, and she has long been both a collector and admirer of Bromley’s art. Her passions were brought together in the lavish event where guests were indulged with an array of exquisite canapés, complemented by refreshing cocktails, French champagne Perrier Jouet, and Penfolds Grange, whilst getting to watch the revered artist in action. Between friendly conversations and regular photo taking with gorgeous wife Yuge and guests, the talented artist remarkably painted a children’s series artwork that was to be donated to charity, demonstrating in person his incredible talents and passion for his craft.

This exclusive event not only offered art lovers a rare glimpse into Bromley’s world but also served as a prelude to the sale of the Castlemaine Gaol, now transformed into a sanctuary for the Bromley Collection.

The sale offers a once in a lifetime opportunity to secure not only the property but an incredible museum collection of art and curiosities that have been expertly curated by one of Australia’s most renowned creative couples, David & Yuge Bromley. Once a bastion of incarceration the site is now a symbol of artistic expression that pays respect to the history of the gaol whilst delivering a surreal ‘Alice in Wonderland’ experience journeying through the Bromley’s imagination.

The gaol is for sale by EOI closing 31st May 2024 unless sold prior. For more information contact Monika Tu  –  monika@blackdiamondz.com.au
