Olive oil is the heart of Olieve & Olie’s luxurious products, revered for its vitamin E content, antioxidants, and anti-aging properties. Founded in 2000, the company’s journey began on a picturesque 15-acre property along Gunbower Creek, 50 km west of Echuca. Founders Andy and Jude Steele planted 2,000 olive trees, and it was Jude’s chemistry and medical technology background that sparked the idea of creating homemade olive oil soap in their kitchen after their first harvest. A decade later, after selling the grove, they relocated to the Mornington Peninsula, where their products quickly gained acclaim, prompting them to outgrow their initial studio in St Andrews Beach. While they continue to source pesticide-free olive oil from their original grove, they have also expanded to include premium oil from Cobram Estate Olive Oil. Today, Jude leads the business alongside her daughter, Sarah, with her son Hal and his partner Cass rounding out their trusted team.
