At the heart of McHenry Hohnen’s passion for winemaking is the family estate, encompassing three vineyards with roots in classic Chardonnay and Bordeaux varieties. However, throughout the years, visionary founder, Murray McHenry, has been at the forefront of expanding the viticultural horizons in the region resulting in the winery earning an esteemed reputation among wine enthusiasts for less traditional varieties such as Marsanne, Roussanne, Grenache, Mataro, and Zinfandel.

Hazel’s Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon – $45.00 per Bottle
Fragrant aromas of red currants, cherry confection, violets and cedar are complemented by savoury black olive, tobacco and gravel dust undertones. The velvety palate has flash and refinement, revealing hints of cassis, bitter cocoa and graphite well supported by a framework of firm but fine tannins providing length and definition to the palate.
Pure, complex, and very satisfying; this is a charming expression of Southern Margaret River Chardonnay. The palate is powerful yet crystalline and defined by a mealy texture and that long, savoury acid line this area is renowned for. 2021 BDX – $45.00 per Bottle
A Malbec dominant blend with Cabernet Sauvignon providing structure and Petit Verdot adding lift, this wine bursts with aromas of cassis and crushed violets. Sweetened spices and mulberries are complemented by more savoury notes of cedar and mocha from maturation in the finest selection of French oak barriques. The palate is voluminous yet focussed with a ripe frame of fine tannins giving length to this deliciously fragrant wine.
