In the dawning of a new era in benchtop surfaces, one where sustainability and longevity play key roles, Caesarstone once again takes the lead with the unveiling of its first ever Porcelain collection.

Leveraging its 35-year legacy of craftsmanship and innovation, Caesarstone introduced the first quartz surface in 1987 and has led the field ever since. It’s now perfected a porcelain surface for both interior and exterior use.

Caesarstone Porcelain is the embodiment of a huge leap in technology, functionality and design with an initial collection of 17 surfaces, in Honed and Ultra Rough finishes, delivering new benchmarks in terms of durability, strength and beauty.

The three pillars of this advanced technology are a Fortified Frame, providing an extremely hard surface that is exceptionally resistant to scratches, pressure and rupture; a High Heat structure, that will withstand extremely high temperatures (hot objects can be placed directly on the surface); and Forward Design.

The striking colouration, bolder veins and palpable textures, further enhanced by the Honed or Ultra Rough finishes of the designs, are one aspect of Caesarstone Porcelain that the brand is extremely proud of. The company’s design team, together with Li Edelkoort, one of the world’s leading trend forecasters, have perfected an aesthetic style that has taken an industrial-strength surface and transformed it into an expanse of sheer beauty.

In this first collection – the Light Collection –  designs range from a virtual pure white (Whitena) through warm white stone effects to dramatically striated stones (Archetta and Striata), plus a polished concrete finish (Concrita).

Each slab is produced from natural materials, such as clay, feldspar, quartz and natural oxides.  The slabs, with a 12mm profile,  provide a far greater opportunity for creativity than many other surfaces.  Their 1600 x 3200m size means larger, sweeping expanses of joint-free surfaces can be achieved.

In keeping with Caesarstone’s environmental sustainability commitment, Porcelain carries the Greenguard, HPD (Health Product Declaration), LBC Red List Compliance (Living Building Challenge), CE (European Conformity) and Kosher certificates of approval.

Caesarstone Porcelain can be used both inside and outside the home – its surface is resistant to UV rays as well as chemicals, food spills (eg red wine and beetroot) and extreme heat.  And as further testament to Caesarstone’s commitment to perfection, the Porcelain surfaces carry a lifetime warranty.
