A key component of Seachange’s distinct sculptural design is the intricate concrete formwork, that has been expertly designed to frame the stunning views. A suspended outdoor entertaining area which includes an acrylic windowed pool and firepit creates the illusion of appearing to float, this required both precise engineering and the need to build all the slabs in-situ in order to create the floating effect.
Taking full advantage of the its spectacular oceanfront position, the luxury residence features extensive glazing which allows the views to be maximised from all areas of the home.
An internal waterfall and floor-to-ceiling glazing created a significant structural challenge, requiring many engineered solutions to ensure its functionality and safety. High-quality materials, such as steel, were used to provide the required structural support required for various aspects of the build including a spectacular double-story stone feature wall that soars above a sleek contemporary gas fireplace.
Meticulous attention to detail is evident everywhere you turn as are the quality of the chosen materials and finishes. The stylish kitchen features a function 6.5m island bench, Gaggenau fridges and ovens, and other high-quality appliances. Other luxury elements include a freestanding bath and fluted glass shower screen in the bathroom as well and brushed nickel tapware.
The degree of technical difficulty during the construction of Seachange cannot be overstated – the beachfront location also creating challenging weather conditions. Despite all this, GRAYA’s skilled team and commitment to quality ensured that Seachange was completed to the highest standard while also meeting the client’s budget requirements. The outcome is an absolutely spectacular contemporary beachfront home.
