The brief of this gorgeous modern new kitchen by Sydney luxury kitchen company Kitchen Elegance, was to build a classic contemporary style kitchen with a modern handle free profile to the cabinets, a classic marble bench top and plenty of hidden storage including a butlers pantry.
In an open plan space the kitchen was defined and anchored by the bulkhead above which encompassed the space above the entire kitchen. As the kitchen was located centrally in the home it was important to design a layout which encourages easy access and flow to the adjoining spaces. The large island was designed to maximise bench top space which is Carrarra Marble with a 40mm mitred edge with waterfall ends to the island. The sink was placed in the island so that the owners could look out on to the pool / alfresco area and keep an eye on the kids.
The cabinet doors are a white satin finish of polyurethane with Blum soft close hinges and drawers. Fitted with a Blanco freestanding oven, cooktop and canopy range hood, built in Electrolux dishwasher, fridge, coffee machine and microwave.
The open layout is designed to allow clear access through adjoining spaces, while the large island breakfast bar with pendent lighting is perfect for entertaining. The kitchen design looks upon the alfresco pool area, allowing the space to expand when the external bi-fold doors are open.
