Wahroonga House is an innovative custom home that stands out for its distinctive cedar-clad design, centered around a striking masonry spine. Completed in 2013, this home uses modern architectural principles, with a first floor that seems to easily ‘float’ above the ground level.
The clients wanted an open feeling home with a sense of breathing space. The Chateau’s award-winning team delivered on this vision by incorporating natural materials that allow sunlight to pour into the home. High ceilings and an open-plan layout are enhanced by large glass doors and windows that connect the interior with the outdoors.
The design’s emphasis on light and air continues with four stunning skylights that brighten up the open foyer and staircase. Materials like glass, natural timber floors, and custom woodwork were carefully selected.
The upper level offers spacious bedrooms positioned above the expansive living and dining areas. The kitchen, illuminated by additional skylights, features Caesarstone countertops that gleam in the natural light, making it a central and inviting space.
The living space extends outdoors to an expansive timber deck for year-round entertaining. A lap pool and lawn area complete the outdoor experience, providing ample opportunities for relaxation and recreation as the seasons change.
